Program Description: The Engineering Management program at the UCLA Samueli School of Engineering is unique in its collaboration with faculty from the Anderson School of Management and the School of Law. This program is designed for current and entering engineering professionals who are seeking to interface in both the technical and business aspects of their industry. The essential role of an engineering manager requires the application and management of technology to solve complex issues and build new enterprises. Through business analytics, financial management, quality engineering and more, our students will enhance their performance and expand their business related skill set.

Comprehensive Exam Requirement
Students can meet the Comprehensive Exam Requirement by:
Taking and passing three written exams for three different graduate level courses within the student’s area of specialization. The written exams are held concurrently with the final exam of the graduate level courses. Students may select which exams they would like to count towards the Comprehensive Exam requirement.

Time-to-Degree:
Students are expected to complete the degree within two academic years and one quarter, including two summer sessions. The maximum time allowed in this program is three academic years (nine quarters), excluding summer sessions.
